Back to Colombia!

On November 19-20, DPM Research partner, Victoria E. Díaz, returned to Bogotá Colombia to deliver a workshop on Research methodologies for institutional research. This is the third workshop offered in the Training Program in Institutional Research developed in collaboration with the Centro Universitario de Desarrollo (CINDA, based in Santiago, Chile and sponsored by Universia Colombia.

Participants included public and private university personnel, ranging from specialists in strategic planning, accreditation and evaluation in the higher education sector, representing institutions from diverse regions across Colombia. The workshop offered participants an introduction to the most important research methodologies used in Institutional Research, and emphasized the importance of effective reporting, communications and benchmarking initiatives. In addition, the workshop provided an overview of data exchange and collaborative networks used in North America, and highlighted their potential value to contribute to the continued development of institutional research in Latin America.
