Institutional Research Workshop in Santiago, Chile

DPM Research’s partner, Victoria E. Díaz, was invited to design and deliver a workshop on Information management for decision-making for institutional research developed in collaboration with Pablo Opazo Bravo and the Centro Universitario de Desarrollo (CINDA) based in Santiago, Chile.

This is part of an initiative to develop a training program on Institutional Research, an emerging discipline in Latin America. The workshop, delivered on May 28-29 in Santiago, Chile, was sponsored by Universia Chile and offered participants with an introduction to data management, information creation and knowledge transfer in the context of institutional research. Different models to assess the level of development of institutional research activities were used as self-evaluation tools during the sessions. Participants included public and private university personnel, ranging from data analysts, institutional research directors as well as representatives from the Ministry of Education in Chile (MINEDUC).

This is the first time such a program is available to the Chilean higher education sector. More details on the program can be found here.
